The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the American Beach Water and Wastewater System Improvements project involving the construction of wastewater collection and transmission system and drinking water distribution is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The project cost for the American Beach Water and Wastewater System Improvements project is estimated at $4.4 million for the wastewater improvements and $2.8 million for the drinking water improvements. The project may qualify for a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan and a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed project that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice.
