The Public Employees Relations Commission hereby gives notice: On September 2, 2020, the Public Employees Relations Commission issued a final order in Case No. MS-2020-055 granting an emergency petition for variance from Florida Administrative Code Rule 60CC-4.002 filed by Jeffery Mitchell and Local 291, Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO. The variance allows the Petitioners to conduct all aspects of a ratification election electronically. The Public Employees Relations Commission determined that the Petitioners had demonstrated an emergency existed and that they would suffer a substantial hardship if the variance was not granted. The petition was filed on August 17, 2020, and the notice of receipt of the petition was published on August 19, 2020, on the Commission’s website and in Volume 46, Number 162 F.A.R. One timely comment was received from Selvena Creary objecting to the petition, which was considered by the Commission in disposing of the petition.
