ITB 14-09 Campus Wide Water Intrusion
The University of North Florida Board of Trustees, a public body corporate, is soliciting bids to general contractors for water intrusion repairs for various buildings located at the University of North Florida, 1 UNF Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
The University of North Florida is seeking bids from qualified general contractors to provide a turnkey solution that includes roofing and water intrusion repairs to correct existing water intrusion issues occurring within the buildings. The project involves roofing repairs, water intrusion repairs and minor interior renovations in various buildings on the UNF campus. The scope includes roofing and flashing repairs, replacement and sealant replacement. Third party water testing of repaired conditions will be required. Note ‒ the work is to broken out, with each building to be a separate phase. Work may occur all at one time or in separate phases as determined by UNF. See construction documents for full scope of work.
Contractors desiring to be considered must have current demonstrable experience and certifications at the time of bid opening in accordance with the specifications in the ITB 14-09 Campus Wide Water Intrusion bid documents.

Minority business participation is strongly recommended and supported by the University of North Florida.
A performance and payment bond for 100 percent of the amount of the bid will be required of the successful contractor for any project with a cost that exceeds $100,000.
As required by §287.133, F.S., a contractor may not submit a proposal for this project if it is on the convicted vendor list for a public entity crime committed within the past 36 months. The selected contractor must warrant that it will neither utilize the services of, nor contract with, any supplier, subcontractor or consultant in excess of $15,000 in connection with this project for a period of 36 months from the date of their being placed on the convicted vendor list.
Contractor shall have established equal opportunity practices which conform to all laws against discrimination and prohibits discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, marital status or religion; neither contractor nor any subcontractor or other person, firm or business entity with whom it would be engaged in a combined effort to perform the services has hired any person who is an officer or employee of UNF.
