    DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. CDT

    PLACE: Emerald Coast Convention Center, 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway, S.E., Fort Walton Beach, Florida

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a Corridor Alternatives public meeting for the Santa Rosa Sound Alternate Crossing Study in Okaloosa County. The meeting will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CDT at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway, S.E., Fort Walton Beach.

    FDOT representatives will be available during the meeting to discuss the project and answer questions. The meeting will be held in an open-house format and will include an informational video. Maps, drawings, and other project information will be on display.

    This project evaluates the feasibility for an alternate road and bridge corridor between Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island. The intent of this meeting is to present to the public and officials the preliminary results from the evaluation conducted on 10 potential corridors. Public input received will be incorporated in the final corridor report, and will be used to help identify study recommendations.

    The project is in the study phase and is currently not funded for any future phases.
