    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 50 No. 165, August 22, 2024 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

     

    1S-2.010 Advisory Opinions.

    (1) through (4) No change.

    (5) For felons requesting an advisory opinion concerning their eligibility to register or to vote, Form DS-DE 500 (http://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-17159 16986, eff. _/2024), entitled “Felon Eligibility Opinion Request” complies with the requirements of subsection (4). Felons using the form shall email the form as a .pdf attachment to dos.generalcounsel@dos.myflorida.com, or send or deliver the form to Office of General Counsel, R.A. Gray Building, 500 South Bronough Street, Suite 100, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0250.

    (a) through (c) No change.

    (6) through (8) No change.

    Question 2 on Form DS-DE 500 was amended as follows:

    If “yes,” you need a pardon from the Office of Executive Clemency for each of those convictions to restore your right to register and vote. Please attach the Executive Order or Certificate from the Office of Executive Clemency restoring your right that postdates for each of those convictions.
