PURPOSE AND EFFECT: These changes are to amend and streamline the rules that govern the profession of surveying and mapping in the state of Florida. Guidance has been provided to applicants seeking a military fee waiver in compliance with 2018 legislative changes to chapter 472, F.S. These changes also seek to provide clarification on what is deemed acceptable verification of education for new licensure applicants; restructure the continuing education requirements of those seeking reinstatement of null and void licenses so that the education may be taken after the Board reviews the reinstatement request; and amend the time period probationers are given to submit their survey lists to 90 days instead of 120 days, thus shortening the overall time their license is on probation.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: As stated above, the subject area of the proposed rules include: applications, licensure, military waivers, verification of education, continuing education requirements, and survey review.
