    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose is to revise the rules in Chapter 59A-27, F.A.C., to reduce the regulatory burden for health care services pools and to update the rules to conform to law changes. The revisions remove the rules that are now in Chapter 408, Part II, Florida Statutes, and in the Chapter 59A-35, F.A.C., pertaining to licensing procedures, background screening, and penalties. The requirement for a medical history on all staff is to be removed. The health statement requirement for staff is to be modified to state that the person is free from communicable disease that can be casually transmitted as recommended by the Department of Health. The requirements on the application form have been reduced since the item requiring a listing of every staff person that may be placed with health facilities has been removed. The background screening information on the application checklist has been updated per changes in Section 408.809, F.S.
