64B2-11.013: Acupuncture Certification Examination

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 27, 2016, the Board of Chiropractic Medicine, received a petition for variance or waiver filed by Robert M. Manestar. The Petitioner is seeking a waiver or variance of subsection 64B2-11.013(4), Florida Administrative Code, which requires that the passage of the acupuncture certification examination shall not grant any applicant the right to practice chiropractic or acupuncture without passing the chiropractic licensure examination and obtaining a license as a chiropractic physician. Petitioner is also seeking a waiver or variance of subsection 64B2-17.003(5), Florida Administrative Code, which requires that prior to any chiropractic physician engaging in the practice of acupuncture, said physician shall be required to present certification to the Board of examination by an approved college or institution of said physician, after completion of said approved minimum course of study.
