    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Department intends to amend several rules within Chapter 65C-13, Foster Care Licensing, to accomplish the following tasks: (1) Revise background screening requirements to comport with Florida statutes; (2) Revise the components of the initial licensing home study to align with the components of the Unified Home Study in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN); (3) Add requirements to the relicensing home study; (4) Repeal duplicative language; (5) Add procedural requirements regarding notification of denial of re-licensure; (6) Require compliance with normalcy provisions of Florida statutes; (7) Add compliance requirements to Residential Pool Safety Act; and (8) Clarify requirements for bedroom sharing.
