PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-1.010, Florida Administrative Code, (F.A.C.), is to revise the Florida Medicaid Definitions Policy, incorporated by reference. The revised Coverage Policy clarifies conditions for meeting “medical necessity” or “medically necessary”.

(1) This rule applies to all providers rendering Florida Medicaid services to recipients.
