The Department of Environmental Protection hereby gives notice: That on February 2, 2024, the Department issued a final order granting City of Largo’s petition for a variance. The petition was received on October 6, 2023. Notice of receipt of this petition was published in the Florida Administrative Register on October 17, 2023. The Petition requested a variance from paragraphs 62-610.469(7)(g) and 62-610.668(1)(c), F.A.C., which prohibits the return of reclaimed water to the reclaimed water distribution system after the reclaimed water has been delivered to a user. No public comment was received. The Order, OGC file number 23-1627 and DEP file number FL0026603-018-DW1P/NR, granted the petition because the Petitioner demonstrated substantial economic hardship and proposed an alternative means of achieving the purpose of the underlying statutes implemented by the rule.
