    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The District proposed several revisions to the Caloosahatchee River MFL and the associated exceedance and violation criteria. In support of its revisions, the District used a resource-based approach to determine the flow requirements of multiple ecological indicators. A copy of the Technical Document to Support Re-evaluation of the Minimum Flow Criteria for the Caloosahatchee River Estuary dated January 30, 2019 (Technical Document) is available on the District’s website at https:https://www.sfwmd.gov/our-work/mfl. The approach incorporated 11 component studies, using indicators and an integrated modeling approach.

    At the first public workshop, the District will discuss and consider potential supplementary statistical approaches and mathematical analyses using the original data contained in the Technical Document. Attendees are encouraged to share their statistical approaches and analyses using the original data in the Technical Document at this workshop.

    At the second public workshop, the District will provide the results of any additional analyses/evaluations that utilize the resource-based approach and receive feedback. The District will then present the results of any additional analyses/evaluations and adopt a Caloosahatchee River MFL as well as exceedance and violation criteria at the public hearing on July 11, 2019.
