    The Seminole Tribe of Florida and South Florida Water Management District announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Seminole Tribe of Florida-Tribal and Cultural Immersion Workshop

    PLACE: Seminole Tribe of Florida, Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation, 34725 West Boundary Road, Clewiston, FL 33440

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Seminole Tribe of Florida will be hosting a workshop to brief one or more Governing Board Members of the South Florida Water Management District on tribal and cultural history and sovereignty. The Seminole Tribe of Florida will provide the Governing Board Members with an in-depth overview of the Tribe’s Water Rights Compact with the South Florida Water Management District and the State of Florida, which was ratified by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Ronald Reagan in 1987. No Governing Board action will be taken at this workshop.
