NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 22, 2024, the Board of Opticianry, received a petition for variance and waiver filed by Marcel Milstein. Petitioner seeks a variance or waiver of subsection 64B12-15.001(2), F.A.C., which requires each licensed optician shall complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing professional education, according to the criteria specified in these rules. A maximum of 5 hours of continuing professional education may be earned from courses without classroom instruction.
