NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 06, 2024, the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel, received a petition for variance or waiver filed by Ebony Coates. Petitioner is seeking a variance or waiver regarding subsection of subsection 64B3-5.003(2), F.A.C., which states that all applicants for a Technologist license must satisfy the requirements for High Complexity Testing under CLIA Amendments, 42 C.F.R. §493.1489 effective April 24, 1995, as a medical technologist. Petitioner requests a permanent variance or waiver for the purpose of granting licensure to practice as a medical technologist only within the CAPCT laboratory. Comments on this petition should be filed with the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel within 14 days of publication of this notice.
