    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The proposed changes update Rule 64E-5.502, F.A.C., to describe the information that must be submitted for Department approval for a jail or penal institution to expose an individual to the useful beam of a radiation machine for security purposes. The proposed changes update DH Form 1107, 10/15, “Radiation Machine Facility Registration,” which is incorporated by reference in Rule 64E-5.511, F.A.C.

    SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Information that must be included in requests for Department approval of the method and calculation a jail or penal institution uses to determine that exposure to ionizing radiation provides a life safety benefit to the individual exposed that is greater than the health risk posed by the exposure.
