    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule amendment is to modify rule language to update specific Fish Management Areas and associated regulations. These changes would remove Lang Lake FMA and establish Doral Glades Park FMA

    SUMMARY: Staff are seeking to update the FMA system by adding Doral Glades Park FMA in Miami-Dade County and remove Lang Lake FMA in Hamilton County. Doral Glades Park is owned by the City of Doral and the pond associated with the park is 7 acres. This park will provide a kayak launch as well as shore-based fishing opportunities. Staff are proposing removal of Lang Lake FMA based on the landowner’s request.

    SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS AND LEGISLATIVE RATIFICATION:

    The Agency has determined that this will not have an adverse impact on small business or likely increase directly or indirectly regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate within one year after the implementation of the rule. A SERC has not been prepared by the Agency.

    The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: the nature of the rule and the preliminary analysis conducted to determine whether a SERC was required.

    Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

    1. The use of boats propelled by gasoline motors is prohibited.

    2. Access prohibited from 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise.

    3. No person shall take in any one day more than 20 panfish, in the aggregate.

    4. No person shall kill or possess any black crappie less than 10 inches in length.

    5. Taking of fish or wildlife with firearms is prohibited, except by written permission of the landowner.
