61-5.005License Renewal Fee Waivers
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To repeal Rule 61-5.003 and repeal subsection (2) in Rule 61-5.005, F.A.C.
SUMMARY: The proposed rulemaking repeals Rule 61-5.003 and repeals subsection (2) in Rule 61-5.005, F.A.C., as they have identified as unnecessary or are duplicative of existing Florida law.
SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS AND LEGISLATIVE RATIFICATION:
The Agency has determined that this will not have an adverse impact on small business or likely increase directly or indirectly regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate within one year after the implementation of the rule. A SERC has not been prepared by the Agency.
The Agency has determined that the proposed rule is not expected to require legislative ratification based on the statement of estimated regulatory costs or if no SERC is required, the information expressly relied upon and described herein: the economic review conducted by the Agency.
Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

61-5.005 License Renewal Fee Waivers.
(1) No change.
(2) Fifty dollars ($50.00) of the renewal fee is waived for Veterinarians, regulated pursuant to Chapter 474, F.S., whose renewal fees are set forth in Rules 61G18-12.005 and 61G18-12.009, F.A.C., whose biennial license renewal is scheduled to occur May 31, 2012.
(2)(3) For renewals covered by this rule, the separate five dollar unlicensed activity fee collected pursuant to Section 455.2281, F.S., must still be paid at the time of renewal by all licensees. Further, this rule does not waive any additional fees owed at the time of renewal, such as late renewal or penalty fees.
