The Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling hereby gives notice: of the issuance of an Order Denying the Petition for Variance and Waiver, filed by Danielle Deramo on February 26, 2024. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 50, No. 50, of the March 12, 2024, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver of Rule 64B4-3.0085, Florida Administrative Code entitled that an applicant submit proof of a completed practicum on university letterhead. The Board considered the request at a duly-noticed public meeting held on May 24, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. The Board found that the petitioner has failed to establish that the Board’s application of Rule 64B4-3.0015, F.A.C., to the petitioner’s circumstances would violate the principles of fairness or impose a substantial hardship and the Board further finds that the petitioner failed to demonstrate that the purpose of the underlying statute will be or has been achieved by other means. The Board’s Order, filed on June 25, 2024, denied the petition.
