61G18-11.002Examination and Licensure
The Board of Veterinary Medicine hereby gives notice: that on July 6,2020, an Order was filed on the Petition for Waiver or Variance. The Petition for Waiver or Variance was filed on behalf of Jorge Falcon-Sillet, DVM, on May 27, 2020, seeking a waiver or variance from subsection 61G18-11.002(6), F.A.C., regarding the requirement that the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) must have been taken and successfully completed within five years prior to the date of the administration of the first examination offered in Florida subsequent to the filing of the application for licensure.. The Notice was published in Volume 46, No. 105, of the Florida Administrative Register, on May 29, 2020. The Board, at its meeting held on June 19, 2020, voted to grant the Petition for Waiver finding that the Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship; that application of the rule would violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
