GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Rules Committee Meeting, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss changes for private postsecondary institutions licensed by the Commission for Independent Education and institutions not under the jurisdiction or purview of the Commission, as identified in s. 1005.06 (1)(b)-(f), Florida Statutes, as a result of legislative changes found in HB1537 (Ch.2023-39, Sections 10-14, Laws of Florida) and HB1521 (Ch.2023-106, Laws of Florida).

The Commission will hear public comment only regarding issues on the agenda. Individuals and representatives of groups will generally be allotted three minutes, but the time may be extended or shortened at the discretion of the Chair. The Chair may impose a cumulative time limit for all public comment on any agenda item.
