The Environmental Regulation Committee (ERC) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration will bring before the ERC an amendment to Rule 62-302.800, F.A.C., for adoption. The amendment proposes to establish Site Specific Alternative Criteria (SSAC) for pH in Pace Swamp in Santa Rosa County. The SSAC would set an upper limit of 7.0 standard units not to be exceeded more than ten percent of the time during any calendar year and a lower limit that would maintain natural background conditions.

Additionally, the Division of Waste Management will brief the ERC on proposed Phase II changes to Ch. 62-701. The proposed changes continue DWM’s efforts to clarify and streamline the solid waste rules and incorporate changes required by Florida Statutes. The proposed changes will be brought for adoption before the ERC at a later date.
