PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect is to amend existing rules to conform to and implement Chapter No. 2023-130, Laws of Florida, which was signed into law on May 24, 2023 and went into effect on July 1, 2023. The law authorizes mortgage lenders to transact business from branch offices and remote locations and provides requirements for operating from remote locations. In addition, the rules will be amended to revise penalty provisions in the disciplinary guidelines.
