NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 12, 2016, the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Community Support/Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight/EMS, received a petition for variance or waiver from Brevard Board of County Commissioners requesting a variance or waiver from the air ambulance licensure requirements imposed by Rule 64J-1.005, F.A.C. Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) in conjunction with Brevard County Fire Rescue (BCFR) request to conduct rescue missions using an unlicensed helicopter owned by BCSO. This will facilitate rescue of individuals in difficult to reach locations.
