The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing concerning the proposed closure of median access on State Road 95 (U.S. 29) north of the Molino Road intersection at the Dollar General Store in Escambia County. The project intends to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 29/Molino Road intersection at the Dollar General Store. Additional improvements will include; milling and resurfacing U.S. 29 from just south of Muscogee Road/Becks Lake Road to Atmore Highway, a total of eight miles, and perform safety and operational improvements at C.R. 196 (Barrineau Park Road), C.R. 184 (West Quintette Road) and the Molino Forestry Station. The improvements include Americans with Disability Act improvements, turn lanes, median opening and driveway modifications.
