The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is currently conducting a study known as the Western Basins Water Resources Evaluation (Phase 1). This is a technical workshop to review and discuss a draft set of water quality improvement options in the Feeder Canal Basin and solicit input from local landowners. The focus is on non-regulatory measures such as cost-shared best management practices (BMPs) and structural project alternatives that are eligible for state and federal funding. The SFWMD is sponsoring public workshops to facilitate public participation in the Western Basin Water Resource Evaluation Study. The public is advised that it is possible that one or more members of the Water Resources Advisory Commission and Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend and participate in this meeting.
