The Orange Creek Basin Working Group will hold a meeting on January 23 in Gainesville at Gainesville Regional Utilities Main Office. This meeting is open to the public. A revised draft of the 2014 Orange Creek Basin Management Action Plan will be presented at this meeting. The Orange Creek Basin Working Group was formed to provide a forum for stakeholders to discuss issues related to the basin’s Total Maximum Daily Loads, including development, allocation, and implementation of projects. This is year five of the Orange Creek Basin Management Action Plan. The Plan was adopted in 2008 to address bacterial problems in streams and nutrient water quality problems in lakes in the Orange Creek Basin.
