The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to revise specific area regulations on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in the Southwest Region and conform date changes to calendar year. In addition, the proposed rule amendment would establish Everglades Headwaters WMA, Hatchineha Unit, and provide regulations for its use. The effect of the proposed rule amendment will be to provide an additional WMA to the public and to enable the agency to better manage fish and wildlife resources and public use on WMAs.
