In accordance with Florida Chapter 2008-149, HB 7109, http://laws.flrules.org/files/Ch_2008-149.pdf, the Florida Small Business Development Center Network is designated as the principle business assistance organization for small businesses in the state and is charged with creating a Small Business Regulatory Advisory Council [Council]. The Council will convene to review their roles and responsibilities and to elect a chairperson. The Council will also adopt procedures for reviewing State of Florida rules to determine whether the rules adversely impact small businesses; establish a system for making recommendations to state agencies regarding ways to minimize the negative impact of these rules on small businesses; and establish a mechanism for receiving and responding to complaints from small businesses who believe to have been adversely impacted by an agency rule or program.
