Purpose


The purpose of the proposed amendment to Rule 12A-1.057, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) (Alcoholic and Malt Beverages), is to delete an unnecessary reference to the Department’s authority to require a surety bond or cash deposit. The purpose of the proposed amendments to Rule 12A-1.060, F.A.C. (Registration), is to explain the requirements and procedures used by the Department when requiring security in the form of a cash deposit, surety bond, or irrevocable letter of credit as a condition for a person to obtain or retain a dealer’s certificate of registration, under the authority of Section 212.14(4), F.S. The purpose of the proposed amendments to Rule 12A-1.097, F.A.C. (Public Use Forms), is to adopt, by reference, forms used by the Department when requiring security to obtain or retain a dealer’s certificate of registration.
