Financial Management No. 433604-1 Project Description: U.S. 1 Corridor Planning Study from Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) to Park Avenue in Brevard County, Florida. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites all persons to a Project Visioning Team (PVT) meeting for the U.S. 1 Corridor Planning Study. The PVT is an advisory group (not an independent decision-making board) assisting the FDOT and the consultant team by providing jurisdictional, policy, technical, and administrative guidance throughout the project. The limits of the study are from Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) to Park Avenue, a distance of about 9 miles. The corridor planning study process is evaluating both the short- and long-term transportation needs of the U.S. 1 corridor including intersection improvements, roadway widening, safety, and the addition of bicyclist and pedestrian features. This meeting is being held to present the results of the study, including roadway concepts, known as alternatives, in addition to the impacts and costs of potential future improvements to this section of U.S. 1. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status. Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator Jennifer Smith at jennifer.smith2@dot.state.fl.us.
