Financial Manager No. 435209-1 Project Description: Interstate 75 (I-75) Interchange at NW 49th Street, Marion County, Florida Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting for the I-75 Interchange PD&E study. We will present design alternatives for a new I-75 interchange at NW 49th Street, approximately 2 miles north of the I-75 and U.S. 27 interchange. The purpose of the proposed interchange is to provide relief from the congestion and operational deficiencies at the U.S. 27 and State Road (S.R.) 326 interchanges with I-75, and to accommodate a projected increase in traffic resulting from the future commerce district. The public meeting will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Ocala Police Department Community Room located at 402 South Pine Avenue in Ocala. The meeting will begin as an open house from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Attendees may review a looped presentation, review study information and discuss the design alternatives with the study team. This open house will provide interested persons as opportunity to express their views directly to the project team concerning the social, economic and environmental impacts of the proposed design alternatives. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
