The purpose and effect of the rule is to implement, as part of the electronic code modification form, a statutory amendment adopted in 2011. Ch. 2011-222, Laws of Florida, amended ss. 553.73(7)(g), F.S. so that it now requires three additional pieces of information to be collected from people proposing amendments to the Florida Building Code. The rule also implements other improvements necessary to enhance the user’s interface with the code modification module.
