The rule amendments will require investor-owned utilities (IOUs) to file for approval with the Commission, and offer customers a standard interconnection agreement for the expedited interconnection of customer-owned renewable generation systems. The rule amendments also will establish the procedures for net metering, including the treatment of net excess generation monthly and annually and identify processes for dispute resolution. Reporting requirements are applicable to all electric utilities, including municipals and electric cooperatives, for customers with interconnected renewable generation and net metered customers.
