This rule represents the third triennial update to the Florida Building Code. The Florida Building Commission has selected the 2009 edition of the model codes developed by the International Code Council as the foundation for this edition of the Florida code. The Commission has reviewed local amendments to the code, proposals for modifying the foundation code and has compiled those items obtaining a 75% majority vote of the Commission together with amendments and modifications previously adopted by the Commission as a supplement to the foundation codes. The supplement and the foundation codes are available for review via the Commission website, www.floridabuilding.org.
