Two identical alternatives public meetings are being held for the State Road (S.R.) 30 (U.S. 98) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The study will examine potential improvements for U.S. 98 from Portside Drive in Santa Rosa County to S.R. 393 (Mary Esther Boulevard) in Okaloosa County, a distance of approximately 24.5 miles. Information presented at each meeting will be the same. These meetings are being held to present initial engineering and environmental analyses and give interested persons an opportunity to review the proposed improvements and provide input. There will be no formal presentation; maps, drawings and other study information will be on display. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive input. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
