The purpose of this meeting is to solicit comments and recommendations from the public concerning the placement of a traffic roundabout at the intersection of State Road 10A (U.S. 90/Nine Mile Road) and County Road 99 (Beulah Road) in Escambia County. Roundabouts have been identified by the Federal Highway Administration as an effective means of reducing the frequency and severity of crashes at intersections. The proposed roundabout would replace the existing flashing beacon system and provide a new, yield-only movement for local road users. Although this project is in preliminary planning stage; design and construction are not currently funded. This meeting will provide you an opportunity to preview the proposed design, ask questions, and/or submit comments concerning upcoming projects. Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentation, however, representatives from FDOT will be available to answer questions and explain the proposed project.
