Financial Management No.: 436307-1-52-01 Project Description: State Road 80/Southern Boulevard and Forest Hill Boulevard in Palm Beach County, FL. The project consists of intersection improvements at SR 80/Southern Boulevard and Forest Hill Boulevard in the cities of Wellington and Royal Palm Beach. The project includes adding a third westbound to southbound left-turn lane from Southern Boulevard to Forest Hill Boulevard, widening the bridge over the C-51 Canal, converting the Forest Hill Boulevard northbound right-turn lanes to one free-flowing right-turn lane, and widening Southern Boulevard to accommodate an eastbound acceleration lane. Other improvements include milling and resurfacing, drainage, curb and gutter, lighting, guardrails, signalization, sidewalks, landscaping, signage and pavement markings. Construction will begin in October 2019 and is estimated to be completed in early 2021. The estimated construction cost is $5.7 million. During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
