Financial Management No.: 435158-1-52-01 Project Description: State Road 80/Southern Boulevard and Sansbury’s Way/Lyons Road in Palm Beach County, FL. The project consists of intersection improvements at SR 80/Southern Boulevard and Sansbury’s Way/Lyons Road in unincorporated Palm Beach County. The 1-mile project includes adding an eastbound right-turn lane and a second westbound left-turn lane from Southern Boulevard to southbound Lyons Road; adding a second right-turn lane from northbound Lyons Road to eastbound Southern Boulevard; and adding a second northbound lane on Lyons Road and Sansbury’s Way. Other improvements include minor roadway widening, widening the Lyons Road bridge over the C-51 Canal, milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, lighting, guardrails, signalization, sidewalk, signage and pavement markings. Construction will begin in October 2018 and is estimated to be completed in summer 2020. The estimated construction cost is $7.5 million. During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
