The Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (FCCDHH) is mandated by Florida Statute 413.271 to serve as an advisory and coordinating body which recommends policies that address the needs of Florida’s community who are deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened or have combined hearing and vision loss. The purpose of the Quarterly Council Meeting will be to revisit the idea of an exhibit hosted by the Council and to plan for this exhibit, to discuss the Council members’ individual legislator visits as well as plan for legislative visits in Tallahassee in February, to finalize the 2018 meeting dates and locations, and to view a presentation from Sharon Caserta, a Jacksonville disabilities lawyer (11/1 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
