Financial Project Identification (FPID) No.: 991800-5 The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing about proposed plans to improve safety on U.S. 17-92 (North Main Street/North Orange Blossom Trail) between U.S. 192 (Vine Street) and West Hilda Avenue. Proposed improvements consist of constructing concrete traffic separators in the median at the West Cypress Street intersection, and south of the Tremont Avenue intersection. A mid-block pedestrian refuge island is also proposed between Hilda Street and Ridgewood Avenue, in front of the Florida Hospital. The public hearing will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Osceola County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, FL 34741. The hearing will begin as an informational open house at 5 p.m. where displays and other project information will be available for review. Staff also will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. A presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by public comments. A court reporter will be present to record proceedings, and assist with comments, as part of the project record.
