The purpose of the meeting is to receive comments on the Department’s Notice of Intent to issue an air construction modification (Permit No. 0990646-003-AC) to Florida Power and Light Company for the modification of permit conditions related to the existing natural gas fired auxiliary boiler at the West County Energy Center. The existing facility is located in Palm Beach County at 20505 State Road 80 in Loxahatchee, Florida. The purpose of the project is to modify the original air construction permit to recognize that only one natural gas fired auxiliary boiler is installed and to increase the total allowable hours of operation from 1000 to 1500 hours per year for the single auxiliary boiler.
