The purpose of this rule development is to adopt procedures for the Department to calculate each Voluntary Prekindergarten Provider’s Kindergarten Readiness Rate. These readiness rates must be based exclusively upon the results of the annual statewide kindergarten screening for students completing the VPK education program and who are administered the statewide kindergarten screening. The effect is to implement the requirements of Section 1002.69, Florida Statutes, and continued implementation of the calculation of kindergarten provider readiness rates.
