The Long-term Care Managed Care Technical Advisory Workgroup has been established by the Legislature’s direction found in 2011’s House Bill 7107, Section 26, and it states: Before August 1, 2011, the agency shall establish a technical advisory workgroup to assist in developing: (a) The method of determining Medicaid eligibility pursuant to Section 409.985(3), F.S. (b) The requirements for provider payments to nursing homes under Section 409.983(6), F.S. (c) The method for managing Medicare coinsurance crossover claims. (d) Uniform requirements for claims submissions and payments, including electronic funds transfers and claims processing. (e) The process for enrollment of and payment for individuals pending determination of Medicaid eligibility.
