Summary


This rule provides that individuals applying for a resident recreational hunting or fishing license or permit using the Commission’s online licensing system or telephone licensing system must provide either a valid Florida driver license or an identification card that has both a Florida address and Florida residency verified by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as proof of residency. The rule further provides that individuals applying for a resident recreational hunting or fishing license or permit in person at a Commission licensing subagent or a tax collector’s office may prove residency by one of these two methods, or that in the absence of these documents may use on of the following documents to prove residency: a current Florida voter information card; a sworn statement manifesting and evidencing domicile in Florida in accordance with Section 222.17, F.S.; proof of a current Florida homestead exemption; or for a child younger than 18 years of age, a student identification card from a Florida school or, if accompanied by his or her parent at the time of purchase, the parent’s proof of residency.
