The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six, will conduct a Public Hearing for the State Road (SR) 826/Palmetto Expressway Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study from State Road (SR) 93/I-75 to the Golden Glades Interchange (Financial Management Number 418423-1-22-01; Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Number 11241). This hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements to the Palmetto Expressway between I-75 and the Golden Glades Interchange (GGI), including ultimate improvements to the Golden Glades Interchange (GGI). The public hearing will begin as an open house at 6:00 p.m. with a formal presentation at 7:00 p.m. followed by a public comment period. Draft project documents will be available for review from October 28, 2014 to December 1, 2014 at the following locations: FDOT District Six, 1000 NW 111 Avenue, Room 6251, Miami, FL 33172, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the Miami Lakes Branch Library, 6699 Windmill Gate Road, Miami Lakes, FL 33014, Monday, Thursday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and the St. Thomas University Library, 16401 NW 37 Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33054, Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, 10:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Draft documents will also be available on the project’s website, www.fdotmiamidade.com/palmettostudy and on display at the public hearing.
