This virtual public hearing is conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to FDOT regarding the proposed median changes to 40th Street between East 15th Avenue and East Conover Street, FPN: 431492-1, Hillsborough County. The existing medians will be closed or modified, and concrete traffic separators constructed, at the following locations: 1) The traffic separator immediately south of East Palifox Street will be extended to enhance the left turning movement onto 40th Street for motorists traveling eastbound on East Palifox Street. 2) A new traffic separator will be constructed at East Curtis Street. The separator will prevent motorists on East Curtis Street from turning left onto 40th Street. Additionally, motorists traveling north or south on 40th Street will no longer be able to turn left onto East Curtis Street. 3) The traffic separator between East Osborne Avenue and East Louisiana Avenue will be extended and prohibit motorists traveling westbound on East Louisiana Avenue from turning left onto 40th Street. Motorists traveling south on 40th Street will no longer be able to turn left onto East Louisiana Avenue. This VPH is held pursuant to Chapters 120, 335.18, and 335.199, Florida Statutes. FDOT, District Seven, will receive verbal and written comments online and at the VPH location.
