The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, in conjunction with the Deepwater Horizon Natural Resource Damage Assessment Florida Trustee Implementation Group, will be hosting a public meeting to present details on the proposed second phase of the Florida Coastal Access project, which is a Deepwater Horizon Early Restoration Phase V project. The meeting will begin with an interactive open house where the public can ask questions and learn about details of the proposed project. The open house will be followed by a formal presentation and opportunity for the public to provide comments on the draft restoration plan associated with the proposed second phase of the Florida Coastal Access project. The draft restoration plan proposes acquisition of a parcel adjacent to Salinas Park on Cape San Blas in Gulf County, Florida, and the construction of passive recreational uses amenities on the parcel and at the existing Salinas Park.
