Purpose


The purpose of this rule development is to establish an implementation schedule for transitioning from FCAT 2.0 Reading, FCAT 2.0 Writing, FCAT 2.0 Mathematics, the Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) Assessment, and the Geometry EOC Assessment to Florida Standards Assessments in mathematics and English language arts/literacy. The schedule must take into consideration funding, sufficient field and baseline data, access to assessments, instructional alignment, and school district readiness to administer the Florida Standards Assessments on the computer.
