This is a training workshop for representatives of local governments that are eligible to apply for FFY 2013 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant funds. The training will cover the following topics related to completing a CDBG application: eligibility and eligible activities, citizen participation requirements, acquisition of property and easements, defining service areas, surveying beneficiaries, procurement of professional services, economic development projects, fair housing requirements and application rejection issues. There will be some hands-on exercises.
